EXTRACT song is for Mami this time!

It really is true! Thanks to KuroiYuki88 for the news spreading. :D For the first time in the history of I've Girls Compilation, Kawada herself is tasked to do the titular track's vocals and also the lyrics! [Since Takase is always the one to do the lyrics for IGC titular tracks]. To be precise of the I've Girls Compilation titular track performer history:

Mami for To Aru II

It has been announced that once again, loyal OP theme performer of To Aru Majutsu no Index will do the OP theme for it's sequel To Aru Majutsu no Index II. The song is entitled "No buts!" and it will be released on November 3, 2010 — almost a year after releasing Prophecy. No credits for the song has been revealed for now and even the coupling song has yet to be announced — but we'll soon find that out! This will become Kawada's 9th single.

Fansite updated once again!

As of now, I just updated the discography and lyrics section since Mami released her latest album LINKAGE. I have to update before I get busy again and have no more time to do this. And special thanks for bambooxzx and koekihane for their wonderful translations of linkage and All in good time (respectively).

As for the Oricon result, this album is a bit lower than expected but nonetheless still decent at #26 (weeklies) with 6,503 copies sold. As for my comment on the album itself, it has already grown on me and I like majority of them but still, her previous album SAVIA was still better. This album is a bit hybrid content with trance-rock hints on them and I'm glad I've is getting back on their roots considering our Mami is the I've rocker chic. But still, the songs on the album really suited her plus I love the The Cranberries cover DREAMS! It may be a bit engrish but somehow her diction has improved!

Recommended! With a 8.5/10 rating from me! ^_^

Mami for another eroge and LINKAGE tracklist revealed!

Lately, it has been revealed that I've Sound will do the theme song for WHITESOFT eroge and now that the singer and song title is revealed, it turns out to be for Mami! She already had INITIATIVE for Koi to Senkyou to Chocolate (though the release date still hasn't been announced) but right now, this tie-up theme song will be released on May 28, 2010. Here's the song title and credits:

According to an interview, it has been revealed that the 5th and 9th track will be composed and arranged by Takase, but there are no other confirmation on the other new songs. LINKAGE more info

Sorry for not updating on time since I'm quite busy with work. As of lately, I said that Mami's album will be released on February 24 right? It was delayed for a month making its release date on March 24, 2010 instead since according to my good old friend Yuki-chan who is also a big Mami fan that the recording of the album was not finished (according to one of Mami's blog entry that Yuki-chan translated) -- that explains the delay.

And after some weeks, the album cover is now out! A very sexy and daring Mami Kawada -- didn't expect she'd do something like this really but it's a plus factor right? :D

The PV preview for the chosen song, which happens to be the titular track LINKAGE is now up on her Geneon website. It sounds great -- a much upbeat version of portamento. I'm liking the whole concept of the album! I hope it's already March 24, so we could already hear the whole album. :D

UPDATE: on the lyrics section, you can now view the lyrics for her song The Maze! Courtesy of I've Mania Vol. II booklets -- It's really hard to transcribe the song so I waited for the booklets to be released by someone. And now, her lyrics section is now complete! ^___^v

Mami's 3rd album "LINKAGE"

Apparently, my guess was right! Mami is now working on her third album entitled "LINKAGE" which will contain her new singles (with the exception of L'Oiseau bleu). Here are the details:

This album will contain her To Aru Majutsu no Index and Shakugan no Shana S singles including the ending theme for the latter entitled All in good time. There will be (as usual) 13 tracks with 10 new songs (including All in good time since it did not appear on her singles) and the other three would be PSI-missing, masterpiece, and Prophecy.

The DVD content is still unknown though. Probably one of the new songs will get the PV hopefully something as great as portamento or even better nee? I'm just wondering if there will be a song entitled the same as the album title... Since SAVIA did not contain any but the word itself was mentioned in the lyrics of portamento.

Mami on a new eroge theme song!

On a rather late news, this song will be used as theme song for sprite's upcoming eroge entitled Koi to Senkyou to Chocolate (Love and Elections and Chocolate). No previews yet but will keep it posted here. Have to apologize for not posting it here earlier because I don't have much time since my work is killing me. -_- But if you want to get the freshest news about Mami Kawada, you may want to check out I've Sound Forum! ^_^ I'm a member there by the name of fierycrimson. Btw, you have to be a member there for you to read some of the posts there but it's free... and in English! :) (The Chinese I've Sound forum is killing my mind) I update there since it's more easy for me unlike here -- open Dreamweaver, edit, save, then overwrite in the FTP (too many processes).

Mami still very loyal to Shana series!

After releasing her 7th single masterpiece, which is the opener to the anime series To Aru Majutsu no Index, Kawada was not appointed to perform the theme songs anymore for its sequel To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. However, Kawada still remains as the performer for the intro and outro themes for the upcoming OVA for the anime series Shakugan no Shana entitled Shakugan no Shana S. It has been confirmed that she's been recording for this one and will come out as her 8th maxi single.

The OVA will aire on Japan on October 23, 2009 and as the news is still fresh, the single title, credits and release date are still not available as of now. And take note that after this OVA, the producer of the said series plans to make the finale of this series which has a HIGH probability in which Kawada will do again the theme song (although this has not been confirmed).

Continue to be productive and amaze us with your singing voice, talent and of course, songwriting! Even though most J-pop fans doesn't really care about the lyrics, this poster really is! Whenever he sees the translation of your lyrics, he never fails to be amazed on how you expressed your feelings/emotions to the song! XD

It has been revealed on Mami Kawada's Geneon Website that the coupling song for her 7th single masterpiece will be...

Yes, these two did it again as they were the ones who composed/arranged for Mami's previous coupling song Ame. But to tell you the truth, I can't seem to distinguish what will be the outcome of the song? Will it be a rockin' techno? A hot rock like JOINT? Or half-techno half-rock just like PSI-missing?

But seeing they're the ones who will do this one, I'm pretty sure it's a great one! =D

Mami's 7th single "masterpiece" [updated]

Mami's 7th single announced!

That's right! Her second tie-in with the anime series To Aru Majutsu no Index! She'll be performing the opening theme again and hopefully much better and memorable. She did very well with PSI-missing but let's hope we'll have another as epic win as JOINT, nee? ^_^ Release date will be on January 28, 2009.

Speaking of PSI-missing, it is still charting and has accumulated almost 16,000 copies. Hopefully it'll reach 20,000 although it's a bit impossible for now but let's wait for a miracle. :P
